WELCOME 2019 FINCH FANATICS!

Welcome to the 2019 CMU Gus Macker Team Blog! Our theme this year is “Cheers to 10 Years: The Fuss about Gus – Green Eggs and Slams!” Follow along on this journey through all the places we’ll go.

We’re not Thing 1 or Thing 2, but we’re here to bring the blog to you! Introducing Alyssa Ross and Taylor Dawson- keeping you updated with the Fuss about Gus! Our first 2019 team meeting was January 10th. We were warmly welcomed by Cat in the Hat, otherwise known as Tim Otteman- our professor for the course. We also had the pleasure of meeting our wonderful TA’s: Kelci Gormley, Rebecca Thornton, and Bailey Perry! Kelci, otherwise known as Thing 1, oversees the Promo Team, Rebecca, Thing 2, oversees the Court Captains and Bailey, Thing 3, oversees the Special Events Team! 

Every year, on the first day of class, the Gus Macker team learns the Macker traditions! We learned the 1-2-YOU handshake and the Macker Tunnel. We had two wonderful guests, Lori Irwin and Brittany Milan, join us and give us advice to take forward through the class. The class leaders also welcomed us with many gifts, all Dr. Seuss themed. 

At the end of class, we took a group photo in our orange Macker team shirts (pictured below).
